Qualifications to Join
Members of HEARTSafe must:

Have an EMT-B certification (This certification expires every 4 years)

NREMT or NC certification

Have a BLS CPR certification (This certification expires every 2 years)

Your certification must be active to teach classes

Be able to teach and explain CPR to people in our classes that do not have any medical knowledge.
The Onborarding Process
Step 1:
Attend an interest meeting and submit the online application
Step 2:

Look for an email from us containing a signup sheet to sign up for an onboarding time

Look over the instructor manual and slideshow that you will be presenting during your onboarding session
Step 3:
Attend your onboarding session (about 30 minutes long)

Look for an email from us with your result and next step instructions!
Take the short google form test about CPR and AED use.
Step 6:
Join the HEARTSafe Group me for 2024-2025!
After you complete the above steps: Congratulations! You are now an official HEARTSafe member!
